Post Graduate Training Courses

If you want to master some of the best A.K. approaches to diagnose and treat difficult, but common nerve entrapment problems, this is the seminar for you!
A very popular AK course - a clear and extremely comprehensive set of notes together with plenty of time for practical application... a highly recommended three day course.

 ~ David H Gutteridge D.O.

The course

Applied Kinesiology & Nerve Entrapment:
AK that is fun to learn and logical to apply!

This practical three-day AK seminar is a must for any practitioner wishing to go deeper in their ability to find and treat common nerve entrapment problems in the upper and lower extremity.

As George Goodheart said "You can’t recognize what you do not know" and "You don’t know what you don’t know until you know what you didn’t know"

This course will help you uncover hidden problems that are only revealed through dynamic examination. We will explore in detail the cascade of muscle weakness from hidden causes, such as reactive muscles, through strain counter strain to fascial and gait problems. Various nerve entrapment syndromes will be explored in detail, enabling you to more easily uncover numerous hidden problems with confidence.

You will learn to put any patient through a detailed screen to find what is, initially, hidden from view.

Specialist courses such as this one help bring all the wealth of information & materials in AK together...Clive puts the material together & teaches it in an easy to understand way so that it can be used back in the consulting room on Monday morning.

 ~ R Michael Basset D.C.

Your lecturer

A very approachable style of teaching-in fact the most student friendly course I have attended

 ~ T Waite D.C. M.C.S. P.

Clive Lindley-Jones B.Ed. (Hons) D.O.  D.I.B.A.K.

  • Registered with the General Osteopathic Council

  • Diplomate of the International Board of Applied Kinesiology

  • Diploma in Tranpersonal Psychotherapy

  • NLP Trainer & Coach
  • Committee member of the Sunflower Trust (Charity #1055712)
  • Clive Lindley-Jones B.Ed (Hons) D.O. D.I.B.A.K. is a registered osteopath, a qualified teacher and holds diplomas in Psychotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming.

He has been teaching for over 30 years in both Europe and Japan. For over 10 years he was on the faculty of the European School of Osteopathy where, amongst other things, he taught Functional Anatomy and Palpation into which he was instrumental in introducing advanced muscle testing. He has taught both the basic hundred-hour I.C.A.K. course as well as advanced courses in the U.K., Belgium, Holland and Germany.

He is the author of a number of papers on AK and orthopaedic problems published in the AK literature as well as being co-trainer of the Sunflower method for helping children with learning difficulties.

There's no escape from the application of sound anatomical knowledge and being able to visualize it dynamically. Clive gave us logical steps to unravelling a recurrent problem, thereby helping to decrease that frustration, where you know here must be a good reason, but you can't reach it. The course gave me a kick up the b... to integrate much of the material immediately. I just thoroughly enjoyed my whole weekend & felt refreshed, encouraged and have used a huge amount of the material straight away Thank you Clive.

     ~ Patricia Waite D.C. M.C.S.P.
Clive should certainly be congratulated on putting together such an excellent course covering many of the common orthopaedic problems we see in practice every day... The course notes had been carefully researched and clearly written with plenty of flow diagrams to act as aide-memoirs back in the practice. Applied Kinesiology has a great deal to offer, especially for dealing with difficult or recurring problems. The most important thing for me, however, was that it can be easily integrated into standard Osteopathic practice. I do not hesitate to commend this course to anyone who wishes to improve their skill and effectiveness as a practitioner.

     ~ Ralph W Sutton D.O.

What others have said about this course. . .

     ~ Niklas Fougner, DC
A lot of positive stimulation – easily translatable to my practice

     ~ Dr Schuleri, Cardiologist / G.P.
An excellent integration of a great deal of work in the AK field – a very good revision. Thoroughly recommended….Although my second visit to this course, I think repetition is crucial – so much material isn’t easy to integrate all at once. Everyone who is serious about using AK in their practice should do this course. Please do this course more frequently than once in 5 years – I wouldn’t mind doing it a third time!

     ~ Anne Mamok, DO
Good contact and openness … leading to a good atmosphere, personal engagement and connection with the knowledge.

     ~ Dr. Faust G.P.
It has been very good to recap things that I had forgotten or stopped using from before. Great value.

     ~ Mike Bassett, DC
     Excellent, outstanding summary

     ~ Dr Fautl-Vergde G.P.
Great revision – being able to diagnose and treat things that you would never even have considered possible.

     ~ John Taberman-Pichler, DO
It has enabled me to find things that I know I normally miss, especially in the patient that I don’t find weakness in. It has improved my understanding and hopefully my integration.

     ~ Ian Reed, DC
     Stimulating AK principles ….very practical

     ~ Dr Nekle
Very good. Re-spirited my enthusiasm to do more. Very practical – good ideas and techniques to treat chronic conditions.

     ~ David Melrose, DO
The course forces you to review what you do and gives you more things to try.

     ~ Alan Smith, ICAK
Very relevant on a practical level – glad that I did it!

     ~ Dr. Liebl Pain specialist
The training has been good. The techniques in this course you could use in a Monday morning clinic. It was also run in a fun way.

     ~ Phil Thomas, DO
Useful material for the office on Monday onwards, both new and old, good revision reinforcement. Also regained some confidence as to knowledge I do have, and re-inforced my keenness to repeat 100 hours AK, and learn Sunflower Method in the future. The genral camaraderie and good group feeling, the generous sharing of knowledge and ideas in a non-competitive atmosphere – immensely refreshing. Thankyou!

     ~ Helen Hooper, DC
It has inspired me to learn as much as possible about AK. Clive is such a fun teacher, who is down to earth and committed to getting the student to understand the technique,. The way he communicated to the students is one of the best I have seen. No over-inflated ego!

~ Jennifer Goddard, Naet, Bodytalk, massage
Good opportunity to revise and rekindle knowledge by experiencing a different approach to common problems. Good value for people wanting to utilize AK more fully.

     ~ John Stevens, DO
Good overview if one has the basic knowledge

     ~ Dr. Hobbi G.P.
Highly practical, motivational and well-structured course, mixing humour with professionalism. Fantastic revision, good theory, highly practical and able to be implemented immediately. Good humour, fantastic knowledge based.

     ~ Tim Chapman, BsC (OSA)
Horizon expanding: A very refreshing course for the practice

     ~ Dr. Goldam G.P.
Informative – how to find hidden problems. This course will improve your technique at evaluating the shoulder complex and LBXT.

     ~ Anthony Ryman, BOst
This training is absolutely essential. It means I have access to structured and orderly methods of examination of specific problem areas. Therefore in application I have confidence that my examination will have been thorough. I value the opportunity of working with experienced osteopaths who give invaluable feedback v.v. muscle testing skills etc, and also add little insights and observations which takes information off the page and into reality. It has felt a genuinely rounded experience: clarity of presentation, a sense of shared enthusiasm, and excitement about the subject. Laughter, good humour and tolerance, peppered with good-natured irreverence.

     ~ Olivia Maxwel, Lic Ac
Very practical… deepening of knowledge of structural problems

     ~ G.P.
It has reignited my enthusiasm for the structural aspect of AK and reminded me of things I can use again that I have maybe not been making available to myself. Very comprehensive and user-friendly. (A great course) if you work with the structure and want to really understand the whys and wherefores and what can go wrong. Clive has infectious joy!

     ~ Matt Bourne, DO
It has reinforced a lot of my AK techniques. I have re-learnt much of what I had forgotten. This AK course is the most practical osteopathic course that I know.

~ David Gutteridge, DO, Lic Ac
Good for going over basic evaluation techniques and treatment techniques. Good sense of humour!

     ~ Anon
It has helped me understand the structural problems we have, what causes them and how to rectify them. It has been very useful to me and as I am a slow learner am looking forward to the second time. With a bit of practice, your methods will be under my belt. I particularly appreciated the instructor’s understanding of the material.

     ~ Anon
Learnable… with a lot of practical relevance

     ~ G.P.
I enjoyed this weekend thoroughly! Information very reliable and succinct. I love flow charts. Distinguish muscle testing better to explain syndromes, good quality muscle testing! This course explains the syndromes better i.e femoral nerve entrapment – psoas strong quads weak. I particularly appreciated those few nuggets of clinical experience that saves me from experimenting. The analogies were great!

     ~ Daniel Cheung, BSc, DC

Money Back guarantee: If after the first morning of this course you are not completely satisfied that you are going to learn an immense amount of, practical, high quality, usable, AK to help you help your patients on Monday morning, simply hand in your 200 pages of notes and flow-diagrams and your money will be repaid in full.
